We create and we share our work for the therapeutic benefits to us, as well as others who may be struggling and feeling scared and alone. Together we can move from disconnected to collective.

Inner City Tree

Please welcome first-time contributor Susan, a 42-year-old woman diagnosed with schizophrenia. Susan grew up on a grain and cattle farm near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, in Canada, and enjoys taking pictures of nature and wildlife. She finds that photography allows her to explore her creativity and it brings her joy. It also helps her to deal with grief issues and the losses that she has suffered.

About this photo: “Inner City Tree. Taken In Prince Albert, Saskatchewan just as spring was arriving. I like the shadows in this photo because they represent change in my life just like spring.”
