Photo taken by contributor Joshua R Beharry, a 26-year-old man from Vancouver who suffers from depression. Since early 2011, he has made volunteering and advocating for mental health a primary focus of his life. Joshua has experience with anti-stigma, mental health and wellness promotion at the University of British Columbia. His newest project is Mental Health Point of View (MHPOV), a website that shares his experiences with anxiety, depression and attempted suicide. Josh hopes the site will help to provide a more comprehensive look at mental illness.
About this photo: “This photograph was taken in Vancouver B.C. Canada. The bold colours and textures provide this soon-to-be demolished home with a sense of energy and life.“

Love this photo! The colors and composition really work for me. Especially love the cord drawing the eye down and through the image. So much to look at!
