Photo taken by Dini Papavasiliou, a 35-year-old interior designer in Greece. A lot of people around her have been suffering over the last two years due to the fiscal situation of her country. She has seen depression and other mental health issues as a result. Some friends can’t get jobs or make money to pay their taxes, and sadly have no hope for the future. She has always believed that every person has to find a way to express feelings and emotions. Photography, for her, is a way of letting people view the world through her eyes.
About this photo: “This photograph was taken on a beautiful afternoon. The sky had all these beautiful colors… I shook my hands with my camera, I didn’t want just another sunset… I wanted only the colors, their escaping speed and their aura.”

Always wonderful to have something old and familiar presented to us in a new, and especially beautiful, way.

Fascinating Photograph. A great result from her technique and I like that she made it ‘different’. Good job. Imogen 🙂

Looks almost like an abstract work of art, like a Rothko painting.
