Please welcome first time contributor Carole, a 51-year-old woman who lives in a small village in the UK that she thinks of as a small piece of heaven, but it can also be quite isolating at times. Carole is divorced and the mother to a son and daughter. She has not worked for several years because of rheumatoid arthritis which has led to depression and anxiety. Carole meditates and this has helped her cope with things better. Taking pictures, when she can get out, has become a way to help her focus more on what she has rather than what she hasn’t.
About this photo: “I love sunsets and sunrises. They give me a sense of peace. They also give me hope of a brighter future. They help me appreciate the ‘moments’ in life…10 minutes after this was taken it became a dull, grey day… but just for a moment it was beautiful.”
