Going Nowhere

Photo taken by contributor Annie, a woman living with PTSD, depression, anxiety and a myriad of disorders. Annie also lives with her cat, Zoe, and enjoys drawing, reading and walking in the months that her surrounding landscape permits.

About this photo: “Going Nowhere is that feeling of being stuck. Of having the doors to walk through and not being able to because of anxiety, fear, because I do not know where to go or what lies ahead.”

    This is a stunning picture. What makes it so very, very good is how accessible it is…I, or anyone, have been in such a place a thousand times and could have–but did not–take that image. Only you did and so took a common place scene and elevated it to high art. Damn, but that’s good work!
