About this photo: “‘Ghosted’ was taken on holiday with my ex-boyfriend in Anglesey, Wales. Walking along the beach in the evening. I’ve always found it difficult to express myself through the photos I take. As an aspiring artist/photographer I want people to understand what I’m trying to portray. Having the BPD label slapped onto me when I was so young has helped me learn about myself and find others like me. I’ve never been able to hold onto any sort of ‘good’ relationship I have with people but, my ex-boyfriend in this moment, understood what I wanted to achieve and that’s all I’ve ever wanted from anyone. Struggling with BPD is deeply distressing but I hope this image helps people pull some sort of light out of a horrible condition (no pun intended).”
