Firework Light Paintings

Photos taken by contributor Danielle, a woman in the US. She is on the bipolar spectrum and has experienced unpredictable mood swings on and off throughout her life. She loves taking photos, and using photography in unexpected ways.

About these photos: “Fireworks are like the ever-changing moods, thoughts, and emotions of mental illness. They can be unpredictable, overwhelming, and even dangerous, but also can be beautiful and unique.

what amazing fireworks photos! I always take a few every year but they rarely come out anywhere near good. I love the effects you got with yours. I know some of my issue has to do with shutter speed but I am not up to snuff on the features of my camera. You did amazing!
