Photo taken by n23art who has struggled with depression much of his life. Most of the time it’s manageable, but there have been a few times when it has hit him very hard. He is originally from the UK, but currently lives in Thailand.
About this photo: “Sometimes when I’m out I’ll see something and think to myself “I wish I had my camera with me” Other times I go out with my camera and I never take a single shot, either because I don’t feel inspired or I don’t see anything of interest.
This was not one of those days. Chiang Mai is an ancient city and the old city walls are surrounded by a moat. While out for a walk I saw two boys climbing the walls and I thought “surely they’re not going to jump into the moat?” of course they did and were good enough to jump several times to make sure I got enough shots.
Part of me thought they were crazy but another part of me admired the freedom of their fearlessness.”

Lovely shot. It reminds me of the classic illustration depicting the stages of human evolution, but going in the opposite direction.
