Living Life in the Slow Lane

Photos taken by Borderline Rigamarole.

The title of my photo series is “Living Life in the Slow Lane (Social Anxiety Disorder)” from California. Your mind is something that can be used to plan and build the most beautiful things in the world, and also the very same thing that can torment you. I took these of myself, by myself, using the timer and tripod for all of them as a student studying fine art. They reveal the pain, the isolation, the confusion, the mental struggle living with social anxiety disorder/avoidant personality disorder. It is an extremely debilitating mental illness the general public, and even the majority of people in the mental health world do not understand in its most severe form. I hope to share and raise awareness of this specific mental illness through this series.
