I have suffered from depression on and off for many years. Over the past few weeks the trees around my home bloomed. At once, there were vibrant pinks, yellows, and purples, and yet I was drawn to this unassuming flowerless tree. I found beauty in the simplicity and lack of blooms. I can relate it to the isolation of my depression. Standing, but feeling bare and lifeless, alone in a sea of color.

But even a bare and flowerless tree is beautiful!

The only way you see the true shape of a tree is when it stands without its leaves — exposed and naked. This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
