Naive Innocence

Photo taken by contributor Jodie Beardmore, a 25 year old photographer who lives with depression. Jodie recently experienced an emotionally abusive relationship which aggravated her condition. She is now free from that relationship and working on her art and healing.

About this image: “I am now seven months free from the relationship and have created this image to present how the toxic fog you’re trapped in can cloud your perception of the person you love and leave you bound to them willingly.

Slowly that naive innocent love you’ve had since you were little dies because of the poison that’s been inflicted upon you. It’s now very hard to trust anyone and as you untangle yourself from the ropes of someone else’s control you find a new appreciation for your surroundings.”
