Photo taken by contributor Annie, a woman living with PTSD, anxiety, depression and dissociation. Annie lives with her feline companion, Zoe. She enjoys reading, writing, walking, and meditation.
About this photo: “Shocked and saddened by recent world events, I turn further inward and reflect….
Reflect on what, if anything I can do. I can’t change what happened.
A wave of hopelessness overcomes me.
So I meditate….
How do I become a light in this darkness?”

Yup. This image says it all for me. I didn’t know how the count was going on Election Night, but I woke up in the night intuiting that It was not going well. And next morning…shocked and saddened, indeed. Thank you, Annie.
