Please welcome first-time contributor Jodie Beardmore, a 21-year-old photography student about to enter her final year of university. Jodie has begun creating a series based upon mental health after recently being diagnosed with depression.
About this photo: “My image ‘The death of a dream’ focuses on the loss of passion I endured at the beginning of my illness. The model in the image is placed within the rubble of a place she once called home, her thoughts racing around her head. Infected by the illness as it consumes her every being. A single red rose is laid next to her representing the passion she lost and how ultimately she can regrow.”
