Photos taken by contributor Michelle, a woman who battles recurrent major depression. For years, Michelle was struggling but didn’t understand what was happening to her. Eventually, she was diagnosed, surprisingly by her gynecologist. Michelle writes, blogs, and does photography as therapy. She has found that doing these things is calming and helps her to manage her depression.
About these photos: “I like photographing bridges, especially those that can be walked on by foot. Looking at the photos makes me think of the darker ponderings I do about what is on the other side.”
