Photo taken by first-time contributor Kyle Shisler, a 19-year-old man from northern California who recently started college. Kyle has had to overcome numerous challenges including severe depression, anxiety, anger issues, as well as anorexia. Kyle picked up photography three years ago as a sophomore in high school.

About this photo: “I took this photo at a classmate’s house. It was our senior retreat to celebrate the end of school and I was up early that morning. There were some hummingbird feeders there so I snapped a few shots. I love photographing birds and nature.”
