Photo taken by contributor Annie, a woman who lives with depression, anxiety, PTSD, dissociative disorder and a myriad of other issues that haunt her. She enjoys writing, creating art, and her cat Zoe.

About this photo: “Juxtaposition represents how I feel during a panic attack. Knotted up inside with a heavy darkness that I cannot escape from and sometimes it feels that there is no escape.”

A simply amazing way to expose and express what it feels like when being nearly choked by the knots, the waves of desperation and that dark cloud that not only hovers … but nearly consumes while in the midst of a panic attack. Continue with your journey of creativeness! How beautiful that you have Zoe to accompany and bring comfort to you.

Yet even in this dark you have shown there must be light to create shadows. Keep searching for that light. matter how impossible it seems.
