Photo taken by contributor Jacque who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and ADHD. She is a graphic designer, wife, and mother to two boys. She is learning to draw from God’s strength to get her through every day. She has also found art and music to be great healers and outlets for the soul.
About this photo: “As someone who suffers from BP, I often feel like staying hidden in the weeds, camouflaged from everyone when my dark days set in.
The flip-side is when I go out into nature and look around me, the freedom of taking pictures helps me to feel so much better and lifts my mood tremendously.
It’s the people on BLC that have shown me a new way to find freedom on even my darkest days. Taking pictures and writing can break the chains when I’m trapped within my mind.”

Absolutely beautiful. And I agree with the music and art aiding healing. It’s almost as if creativity releases endorphins–happy hormones–that draw out the beauty of God’s intent.
