Photo taken by contributor Phedias Hadjicharalambous, a 33-year-old man from Nicosia, Cyprus. Phedias got into photography last year during a difficult time after the death of his beloved grandmother. He also was closely connected to mental health over the past few years when his mother was suffering from severe anxiety. Thankfully with the proper treatment she is now doing better. His photography is minimal and his moto “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” reflects his philosophy about life. He has studied astronomy and planetary sciences but his passion is art.
About this photo: “I call this photograph ‘Silent Shore.’ It was a 1 minute exposure taken at Phoinikoudes Beach, Larnaca, Cyprus.
‘The earth is art, the photographer is only a witness’ ~Yann Arthus-Bertrand”
