Finding Serenity

Photo taken by a first-time contributor from New Jersey. She is a 46-year-old single woman with Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. She loves God, family, and friends. She enjoys art, music, photography, animals, and singing.

About this photo: “There is a children’s memorial garden near where I live.  This park is connected to a beautiful lake.  It has an abundance of flowers, trees, and a gazebo.  The brick pathway is made up of small bricks that each one has a name of a child in my county that has died.  Although it is a sad place for many…I find such serenity there.  It is my favorite place to go and take pictures.  I also sit, meditate, and pray.  This park is my special place to go especially when I am in pain and suffering.  It truly helps me to get through.

This photo was taken on a rainy day.  It represents the many tears that I have shed in dealing with my illnesses.”

  1. Thanks for sharing such a cool close up. I liked the description as well. Bipolar does not always make our life peaceful. Keep posting pics.
