Photo taken by D.C. from N.Y.
About this photo: It’s no secret that when depression takes hold, thoughts of death and dying and the nature of being may not be far behind. I’m having one of those weeks. I am not suicidal, just preoccupied with death. Thoughts about being dead, funerals, etc. Given that there was a death in my family recently, and the anniversary of my father’s death, it is not a surprise that I would explore such feelings through my art. It’s a very rough and messy piece, but it shows how I was feeling and where I was, which I think is what art and photography are all about.
Note from Broken Light: We encourage people to please contact a doctor or mental health professional when you feel so low, or call a crisis helpline such as 1-800-273-TALK. Suicide is not the answer.

I can relate to the colors and the posture of the person in the photo collage. I think the photo is a real beautiful piece of art.
