Decaying Within

Taken by a woman, depressed in Hoboken, NJ.

About this photo: If you can imagine, from the front, this building looks totally normal, but if you look at it from behind, you can see that it is rusted, decayed, and ready to fall apart. I think mental illness can cause people to become like this building. It does for me at least. I can act okay enough to look normal on the outside, but on the inside I am a mess, ready to fall apart if the wind blows the wrong way.

  1. It interests me “looking through another’s eyes”- I have had a similar experience with having pain, I could pull off a meeting for about an hour and look “normal.”
