Photo taken by first-time contributor Val Callos, a 22-year-old man from the small city Tabaco in the province of Albay in the Philippines. He has had trichotillomania since he was twelve-years-old, an impulse control disorder that makes him unable to keep his hands from pulling his hair whenever he feels bored, stressed or excited. In order to control this disorder, he has to divert his mind to other things. Photography is one thing that greatly helps him. He loves taking pictures of different scenery as well as various subjects, including food.
About this photo: “This photograph of a busy afternoon in our humble city can describe the thoughts inside my head. It can also represent life itself. You will see people coming and going from everywhere. Life is about letting go and accepting new things.“

It seems like photography is a healthy.distraction for many of us here. Such a fruitful way of being in the moment and a great escape at the same time. 🙂
