Photo taken by first-time contributor Shanna, a 45-year-old in Georgia living with DID, Bipolar, Anxiety, Major Depressive Disorder, and PTSD. She has found that having a camera in her hands grounds her and gives her peace.
About this photo: “Due to many health problems, aside from my mental illnesses, I have been unable to get outside and take photos for months. That in turn has left my mental demons yelling quite loudly. Last night was the first day that I felt like going outside, I laid on the sidewalk. My beloved camera felt natural in my hands. I was able to capture the moon, even more magical than my natural eye beheld.”

That’s beautiful Shanna! I know what you mean about being stuck inside your head. One day maybe we’ll figure out a way to break on through to the other side.
