Photo from contributor Danielle, a woman in her thirties whose diagnoses include Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. Danielle is a freelance writer, photographer, photo editor, and the founder of Broken Light Collective.

About this photo: “On March 7th I gave a TEDx talk called, How Photography Saved My Life and Launched a Worldwide Movement. The talk discussed the events that led up to my starting Broken Light Collective. It was both exciting and scary to give the talk. But, as you will see, I made it through. To the contributors whose photos made an appearance, thank you! They looked beautiful. Please, everyone, watch the video, share the video on Facebook and with friends and family, and use it as an opportunity to start a conversation about mental health!

You can find the video on the TEDx YouTube Channel.”
