Morning Sun

Photo taken by contributor Glenn Grancio, a 40-year-old visual artist living in New York, NY. Glenn has experienced various challenges, and has been diagnosed with an eating disorder. Glenn has shown sketches and paintings at the 5th Avenue Presbyterian Church. Glenn has also shown art and given speeches at the Museum of Modern Art’s Edward John Nobel Education Center yearly, since 2005. Glenn enjoys doing self-portrait photography using a tripod and timer. When seeing his photographs, he is able to see himself face to face as he is. It also allows him to take his mind off of food and on to using the camera and posing in various places. Photography helps Glenn take steps towards reaching his spiritual, emotional, and physical goals.

About this photo: “This one is called Morning Sun. Here I am looking strong in my parents’ backyard and feeling confident Christmas morning. I am at my deceased orange tabby’s grave having warm memories of Christmases past and ready to tackle the New Year with bedazzling bewitchment.”
