Edge

Please welcome first-time contributor Jennifer, a 23-year-old photographer out of Jacksonville, Florida, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. Jennifer’s photography is influenced by her PTSD, and anxiety in general. Her work tends to center on the themes of longing, nostalgia, and occasionally hope. She especially enjoys creating and photographing miniature scenes. While art has always been her passion, since developing PTSD, it has also come to serve as an outlet and a form of therapy. Jennifer uses art to process who she is and who she wants to be, one day at a time.

About this photo: “Standing on the precipice of the unknown, while trying to feel empowered to take it all on.”

  1. Hello there!

I like your take on this, especially given that the character is looking out onto a “blank canvas” so-to-speak. I certainly know that that is so close to the truth. Recently while shopping I read a quote that went something like “Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself”.

Thanks for sharing here & cheers to you and your journey. Happy Holidays.
