Photo by contributor Kyle Anderson, a man from Saskatchewan, Canada. Kyle is a 41-year-old health care professional who has battled depression and addiction for most of his life. He escapes by letting the camera become his mind’s eye, and hopes that each photo he takes allows others to see the world as he sees it, even for a split second.
About this photo: “This piece I took in an abandoned cemetery tells me a story of a forgotten virgin praying for and watching out over forgotten people… By looking at this image I remind myself that all of us somewhere, somehow have a similar sentinel watching over us. That we can never truly be alone.”

I really like how the images in the background are out of focus. Iif I look closely enough, the images take forms of their own. A very thought provoking photograph.
Thank you for sharing it and your thoughts.

I like the rawness of this image and the b&w for a more isolating effect. We do have someone who watches out for us, that is God’s Holy Spirit. All we have to do is receive Him through prayer. Again, very good photo! 🙂
