Please say hello to first-time contributor Patrick O’Connor, a 45-year-old nature photographer from Colorado and New York. Patrick suffers from bipolar disorder, and accompanying anxiety and OCD. He enjoys planning photography trips to try and find the most beautiful things on earth. These adventures have enabled him to utilize his passion, strength and resolve. His photos are uplifting, and represent a halo to him above the frustration, misery and pain he experiences.
About this photo: “This photo was taken in an old cemetery in Syracuse, NY. I circled this amazing tree and found ‘the’ shot. It immediately reminded me of dark, grey storm clouds. Then a mystical forest fire… Regardless, I love this tree beacause it makes me happy!”
