Lost

Please welcome first-time contributor Yael, a woman who has been battling depression for fourteen years. She also fights severe anxiety daily, whenever she leaves the house. Yael was hired several years ago to take behind the scenes photos of an event by a neighbor. That experience and new friendship kindled her interest in photography. In the years since, she has continued to take photos around her area. Photography has brought her inspiration and joy.

About the photo: “These picture are in a category I called Lost. Taken with my friend while we went around the town in Forest Hills, looking to be inspired. It shows Evo,  looking quite vulnerable in her surroundings… which is how I often feel. But doing photography and expressing myself, opens me up to the world.“
