Photo taken by contributor Magic, a 27-year-old who is currently trying to find his place on earth so he can finally lay down his backpack. His mental health challenges began at the age of 11, when he was bullied. Since then, he has fought his way through anxiety, depression and body dysmorphic disorder. He uses poetry to scream and photography to calm down.
About this photo: “Some places call us back and this old cottage is among the most persistent ones. I watched it become abandoned, overgrown with black currant and nettle, almost as if hiding from greedy eyes. Piercing wind and heavy snowfall were my allies when I took this shot.”

This is a special shot. You seem to have taken us back in time, a more primitive time. It captures a lot of emotion. Good job. 🙂
