The Soul In The Strings

Please welcome first-time contributor David Ocampo, a 21-year-old graphic designer, musician and photographer from Mexico. David began feeling depressed at a young age. He has survived two suicide attempts, and continues to battle depression. The only times when he doesn’t feel the pressure and sadness are when he is creating art and taking photographs.

About this photo: “These are the two things that make me feel alive and help me trough the rest of the day.

See more from David at his website.

We need to raise $5k in August to get up and running as a non-profit! Please help!

Music and art – they will sustain you through a lot! I love photos that play with scale the way this one does – really nice.
