Broken Light Exhibit

This photograph was taken last night at the opening reception for Broken Light Collective’s first live exhibit, “From Darkness to Light.” It was held at Fountain Gallery, the premier venue in New York City for artists with mental illness.

The event was a huge success! Many people came out to celebrate Broken Light Collective and view the 42 beautiful works on display.

Thanks to Fountain Gallery and the 36 photographers affected by mental illness who contributed works to the show (plus many more in the digital display). Together we are fighting stigma and raising awareness, and creating beauty from our pain.

The exhibit will be running until August 13th at Fountain Gallery (9th and 48th). You can also view works from the exhibit on the gallery’s website and inquire to them directly about purchasing prints or framed works. Any money made will benefit the non-profit gallery, Broken Light Collective, and the artists. You can also make a donation directly to Broken Light Collective securely via paypal.

Keep creating and submitting photography, and your works may be in our next exhibit!

**Many more photos from the opening will be shared later today at the “events” tab on the left of your screen, so stay tuned…
