Photo taken by Rosie from the northeast of England. She has experienced depression due to many different issues going on in her life. Thankfully she has a wonderful lady in her life now, who is going through depression along with her. They are both improving due to each other’s company.
About this photo: “This is me and my cat Sage. She’s one of my absolute best and most reliable pals. She’s lovely. She never changes her mind about me, and there’s nothing quite like a cat cuddle when you feel like utter shit. The lighting in this photo shows my mood, the light hitting her more than me, and only showing parts of my face because I often hide my eyes with my hair so as not to show too much of my sadness.”

Two beautiful girls, even if I can’t see the eyes of one of them. 🙂

I too turn to my four legged friends to lift my mood. Thank you for reminding me that as a photographer, I have a built in release from the stresses of life.

Another example where the phrase “just a pet” is meaningless. Very striking.
