Fighting the Blues

Photo taken by Lauren, a mother of one living in England who suffers from situational depression. While her depression has been under control more or less for the past decade, some of her closest friends and family suffer from severe depression in various forms, and she has lost people to the disease. She feels that the illness is part of her tapestry, and something she wants to bring to light and out of shame.

About this photo: This photograph was taken after a bad trigger episode. It was a blue moment brought on primarily by thoughts of someone who had passed, as well as stress. It has been a stressful few months because I will be moving soon, and have been traveling quite a bit, often without my family, whom I miss terribly when I am away.
